Finding the perfect woman's fragrance or perfume isn’t just about smelling good. It’s about finding the scent that you can refer to as your own, or the fragrance that defines the way you feel, but how do you find your own signature scent?
Each perfume is built from different notes that create scent layers, which unfold over time to create the individual fragrance; with base notes, middle notes, and top notes all working together to create a unique smell. Whilst floral perfumes will be based on scent notes such as rose or verbena, others might be fruitier, with crisp undertones of citrus or apple. Your perfect scent should combine your favourite notes and indulge your senses without overpowering them.
When picking your perfect perfume, you should also consider the concentration, or the strength that the fragrance has. The perfumes with higher fragrance concentration contain more perfume oils and less alcohol, making them last longer. The majority of L’OCCITANE fragrances come as an Eau De Parfum or an Eau De Toilette. Whilst Eau de Parfum is more powerful, and allows you to enjoy your scent for longer, Eau de Toilette is lighter, making it the perfect perfume to use during the day.
